Kicking Out The Old Year At Alpha Tae Kwon Do Academy

Students at Alpha Tae Kwon Do Academy in Chelmsford kicked out 2008 with the 6th Annual 'Night of 1000 Kicks' to benefit Ronan McElligott Memorial Playground. The participants at Alpha Tae Kwon Do Academy raised over $500 and performed exactly 1000 kicks, led by Master Instructor Andrew Rollinson.

Each year the Academy hosts the 'Night of 1000 Kicks' as a fundraising event. We feel it is an important way to get fit, get healthy while giving back to the local community. Operating under the umbrella of the Westford Friends of Recreation, Inc., the Ronan McElligott Memorial Playground is a volunteer fundraising effort to build a barrier-free playground at Edwards Beach in Westford.
Barrier-free playgrounds offer people that use wheelchairs unlimited access to play equipment.

We are pleased to announce the formation of a new class on Monday nights at 8:00 pm: Hapkido, the Korean art of close-quarters self-defense.

This is a separate program from our Tae Kwon Do, Goju Ryu, and Kobudo programs and will cost $35 per month per student. All Hapkido curriculum is administered by Grandmaster Bryan Lagimoniere (4th Dan, Jung Ki Kwan Hapkido Association) and taught by Andrew Rollinson.
